This is Peter’s biggest strength and something he might do as well as anybody. Lamar Peters can create space to get his own shot off at any time. This is a skill that is highly valued in NBA lead guards. Watch these highlights of Lamar Peter’s game against Georgia. If you skip to 1:40 and watch until 2 minutes you will see two plays.
The first clip is Peters showing off his speed and his advanced handle to beat his defender off the dribble for an easy layup. The second clip is Peters stepping back off a snatchback move that he goes to very often.
This move has proven deadly throughout the year, and Lamar rises up and drills the three over the defender.
