Jalen Smith, PF, Maryland

Composite Ranking: 22

Jalen Smith is your typical modern big man prospect. He can put the ball on the floor, and can knock down an open three. He’s an explosive leaper and flashes some rim protection value. Adding more strength to his frame could go a long way and help him bang down low a little more.

He moves well for his size, and might have some value guarding on the perimeter. The only thing holding Jalen Smith back next season at Maryland will be his struggle for minutes assuming Bruno Fernando and Justin Jackson return.
