David McCormack, C, Kansas

Composite Ranking: 34

McCormack could end up being an amazing 4-year player for Bill Self at Kansas. He shouldn’t be considered an NBA prospect immediately though. Standing at 6-foot-9 his listed weight ranges anywhere from 255-285 pounds, but I’m leaning towards the latter.

McCormack has dominated plenty of games bullying high school kids, but really struggled against Vernon Carey at the HoopHall Classic. The struggle against a bigger prospect worried me for McCormack.

His below-the-rim play, and simplistic offensive game really make it hard to get behind him as a prospect. McCormack should be left off NBA radars until we can see some more explosiveness and rim protection from him.
