Naz Reid, PF, LSU

Composite Ranking: 18

Reid is an interesting player. At 6-foot-9, 250 pounds, he’s almost built out of an Anthony Bennett mold. Even though I hate player comparisons it’s hard not to see the similarities in the two. Reid probably has a little better upper body strength and playmaking ability, but Reid is lacking a real consistent jumpshot and low post offense that Bennett had a little of.

It’s easy to see NBA prospect appeal from Reid, and he’s already said he wants to be a one and done college player. Even though he has good athleticism for his size, uncanny playmaking and ball handling ability for his size, he’s far from a finished product.

Naz Reid’s probably looking at heading into the season next year as an early second round talent with potential to move up. He also could move down if he continues to show lack off motor, defensive interest, and no shooting improvement.
