2018 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Ayton top the class
By Connor Harr
16. Chicago Bulls: Shake Milton SG/PG SMU
Big Board Rank: 16
Zach LaVine is not under contract next season. The Bulls are ranging toward the bottom fourth of the league in 3 point percentage. Also, their likely candidates for their backup point guard spot are Cameron Payne and Jerian Grant.
LaVine has a usage rate in the Bulls offense of 30.9, and if they don’t resign him they aren’t going to have a ton of guys that can handle the ball. For a below average 3 point shooting team they could also lose their best 3 point shooter. Shake Milton is shooting 43 percent from three this season at SMU. Milton would take some relief off of Kris Dunn as a ball handler, and play well with him since Shake doesn’t need the ball in his hands at all times to be successful.
