2018 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Ayton top the class
By Connor Harr
17. Portland Trail Blazers: Mitchell Robinson C Western Kentucky
Big Board Rank: 14
Jusuf Nurkic is on an expiring deal this year, and he might not be going anywhere. However, he probably isn’t going to be in Portland long term. I believe Nurkic’s production (14 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 block) can be replicated by Zach Collins.
Even though Collins should be able to provide those kinds of numbers he’s not a player with a crazy high ceiling. That’s why the Blazers select Mitchell Robinson who has a much higher ceiling, but is a mystery. If Robinson reaches his ceiling he could be a franchise changing piece for Portland with Lillard and McCollum, but he’s most likely just going to give them good bench minutes behind Zach Collins.
