Michael Porter Jr’s Overall Impression

Final Stat Line: 16 PTS, 10 REB, 3 Steals, 3 TO’s, 4-12 FG, 7-9 FT’s, 1-4 3PT

I’m not going to put any stock into either one of Michael Porter Jr.’s game since he came back. He’s clearly far from 100 percent healthy, and I would say it’s closer to 50.

What I saw from Porter tonight was a total lack of speed and explosiveness. I know he’s not a crazy athlete, but he didn’t even look like that good of an athlete for a college player tonight. His ball handling ability and willingness to take and usually make (when healthy) tough shots for his size is a hard combination to find.

One component of Michael Porter Jr.’s that does worry me is if he can create his own shot against NBA level athletes.
