10. Charlotte Hornets – Wendell Carter, C, Duke

Let’s face it Dwight Howard isn’t getting any younger. Also, Howard is only under contract until next season. Wendell Carter can be brought along slowly in his first season, and gives Hornets fans something to be excited about in the future.

After years of mediocrity and poor selections on draft night, the Charlotte Hornets hit on Wendell Carter. Even though Carter isn’t as highly regarded as his teammate Marvin Bagley he still has a ton of value in the NBA.

Carter has an array of post moves, and is an underrated athlete. He’s more of a throwback big man, but he has enough athletic ability and skill to fit in the modern NBA. Look for Wendell Carter to potentially be a key building block for the Hornets if they make this selection.
