2. New York Knicks – Luka Doncic, SG/SF, Slovenia

The Knicks desperately need somebody to initiate their offense. It’s too high of a pick to gamble on Young or Sexton, given the Knicks recent success with international talent there shouldn’t be any lack of confidence selecting Doncic.

Along with being a solid wing initiator Doncic provides a much needed consistent scorer to the Knicks offense. Right now their second leading scorer is the extremely streaky high volume shooting Tim Hardaway Jr. There are questions about whether Doncic will be able to take on such a ball dominant roll, however the Knicks could test out the Doncic experiment for a year.

If he proves to be more of just a scorer and knockdown shooter the Knicks will be in the market for a lead ball handler the following season.
