LAKERS: The People’s Favorite?

Would a core of Julius Randle, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma be convincing enough to lure LeBron? Probably not. Their current winning ways are very impressive though, 19-11 since early January. You want that to continue. But let’s face it, you’re probably not getting LeBron unless Paul George wants out of OKC.

Landing George and LeBron will be tricky and there are quite a few variables in play.

So here’s what you’d want to see:

1. You’d love to see Houston win the title because again, that narrative isn’t too enticing. This is now officially a theme, huh?

2. Unlike Cavs and Rockets fans, you’d love to see the Thunder collapse and leave PG hopeless if he were to stay. Root for Russel Westbrook to ignore open teammates and start chucking and hope that you see Russ and Paul bickering during key time-outs during the playoffs like KD and Russ used to!

3. This one is a complete long shot, but you could root for Paul George to tire of Downtown OKC nightlife.

4. Root against the Cavs, Sixers, and Spurs. If you’re not concerned with Karma, the truth is that an injury to a player like Joel Embiid or Kawhi Leonard would improve your odds.

5. Root for Lavar Ball to find inner peace.

Oh, and of course keep winning because you don’t own your draft pick and the worse you are, the more it helps this next team.
