Wayne Ellington might be an afterthought to a certain extent, but he can really help a team out there that is in need of outside shooting. Ellington shot 39 percent from 3-point range on nearly nine attempts per contest this past season.
He wasn’t that much of a liability on defense and has really grown into his role with the Heat. With that said, he’s probably better off on a team that is more of a contender. He’s the type of piece that is often overlooked, but much needed. See Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova with the Sixers this past playoff run.
