Most Overrated PF/C – Jaren Jackson Jr.

I know, I know. Over the last few days, we’ve heard the Jaren Jackson Jr. train from all walks of life. He’s surging up draft boards and teams are beginning to interest themselves in potentially trading up for him.

Although, I simply don’t see it. I understand that he has all the tools to be a really great player at the next level. I do. He’s long, athletic and has shown the ability to stretch defenses with his jumper.

However, I still can’t get over the small sample size that he provided us during his lone season at Michigan State. He struggled with foul trouble, in which he had at least four fouls in 17 games this past season.

He’s extremely talented but very raw, and that doesn’t always equal greatness. I just don’t see it. Not yet, at least.
