11. Charlotte Hornets – Wendell Carter, C, Duke

Wendell Carter falls out of the top 10, but make no mistake he is a talent worthy to go in the first 7 or 8 picks. But because a few teams will likely draft based off need and not best player available, Carter falls to the Hornets at No. 11.

But that’s everyone else’s loss. The Hornets will gladly take Carter, who has all the tools to be an effective big in today’s pace-and-space game.

Learning under Dwight Howard wouldn’t be the worst thing either. Even though he has had his issues throughout the years, let’s not act like he wasn’t a really good center at one point and time.
