As free agency approaches, the Houston Rockets have a big decision to make regarding Chris Paul and a max contract
The 2018 NBA offseason is expected to be quite the adventure, and we had a bang of a start to it with the NBA Draft – you can catch up on that with all the trades that went down here, and all 60 picks and some instant reaction here.
However, the main even doesn’t begin until July 1, when NBA Free Agency officially begins. Teams will be able to reach out to free agents at midnight, and that’s when the fun really begins. This year’s free agency pool is especially top heavy, with the likes of LeBron James and Paul George leading the way.
One name that is also a free agency, but isn’t being talked about much is Chris Paul. Mostly because the overwhelming opinion is that he’s going to re-sign with the Houston Rockets. Even though the basketball move is to re-sign Chris Paul, especially considering the Rockets were on game away from clinching a spot in the NBA Finals. Although, it’s not that cut and dry. Chris Paul is a soon-to-be 34-year-old that has a history of injuries.
And that’s where the dilemma begins.
