4. Rajon Rondo, New Orleans Pelicans (unrestricted)

Stats: 8.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.0 rebounds

Rajon Rondo is an interesting free agent. He doesn’t really pop during the NBA’s regular season, but turns it on in the playoffs – and he proved that once again during his stint with the New Orleans Pelicans where he 11 points and 13 assists in the team’s first-round upset of the Portland Trail Blazers. HE even shot above 40 percent shooting from 3-point range in the playoffs.

The Pelicans will likely look to re-sign Rondo, but there’s no question that there are a number of contending teams that could use a quality backup like Rondo.

He may not be a sexy or the big-name that he once was, but Rondo is the type of player that helps a team get over the top.
