New York Knicks

Portland Acquires: Kevin Knox, Frank Ntilikina, Tim Hardaway, 2019-2020 unprotected picks

New York Acquires: Damian Lillard

This trade is here because Stephen A. Smith reported on First Take that the Knicks could be a potential suitor for Lillard if he’s shopped.

New York will get a box office player in Lillard, especially paired with Kristaps Porzingis. With two exciting and elite players, the Knicks will immediately become an attractive team around the league for free agents, and it’s always good for the league to have their big cities producing relevant teams.

As for Portland, they’ll get a couple nice young players in Knox and Ntilikina, along with a very good second unit scorer in Hardaway. Paired with a couple draft picks, Portland will have a somewhat promising nucleus to build around.

I don’t see New York landing Lillard, sorry.
