5. Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors quietly had the best offseason in the NBA. Not only did they acquire Kawhi Leonard (who is one of the top 5 players in the NBA when healthy) and Danny Green, but they also added Greg Monroe in free agency (who will help with depth) and re-signed Fred VanVleet.

No matter how valuable you thought DeMar DeRozan was for this team and franchise, there’s no question that this team got better after adding Kawhi. Leonard will give them a ceiling that they would never have had with DeRozan still on this roster.

The Raptors are now clearly the second best team in the Eastern Conference and will have a great chance at making the NBA Finals.
