Miami Heat

Jimmy Butler might be the prototypical Miami Heat guard. He’s hard-nosed, a stingy defender and can score the basketball with the best of them. He’s exactly the type of two-way player that the Heat loves to invest in.

He also has a really great relationship with Dwyane Wade, both playing for Marquette during their collegiate days. And if Wade is going to transition into some sort of front office role, eventually, he would be a target that would make a lot of sense.

Miami may not have the necessary assets to get a deal done for Jimmy B, especially if it becomes a bidding war, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t try. And Pat Riley has never gone down with a fight, and you shouldn’t expect that to change now. If Jimmy B genuinely hits the trade block expect the Heat to make a call.
