Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have big plans moving forward, and that could get off to a big splash if they can find a way to land Jimmy Butler. But we’ll leave that alone for a minute, and assume that the Heat won’t land Butler and that they’re going to enter the season with their current roster.

In this case, the Heat will be trying to move Hassan Whiteside. He’s been a headache for this team and, for the most part, doesn’t fit the mold of being a max player. He has clashed with Erik Spoelstra and had a downright embarrassing showing in the playoffs last season.

With all that said, when he’s healthy and on top of his game, you can’t deny the talent. Just look at what he did during the team’s first pre-season game against the San Antonio Spurs over the weekend.

But it’s going to take some time for Hassan Whiteside to rebuild his reputation and trade value around the league. Can he – and the Heat – do that before the NBA trade deadline?
