Orlando Magic

Jonathan Isaac

Coming out of Florida State, Jonathan Isaac was one of the biggest wildcards in the 2017 NBA Draft. The potential was high, but it was quite clear that he wasn’t going to come into the NBA and average 20 and eight. That wasn’t the type of prospect that Isaac was.

And that’s exactly what we saw during his rookie season with the Orlando Magic this season. Partly due to injury, his rookie season was cut short. Isaac only appeared in 27 games and only averaged 20 minutes per contest, on his five points and four rebounds.

He did have a few moments where he did flash last season, though, and that gives me hope that he could one day develop into a really good player. We could begin seeing that this season, assuming he’s given the platform to shine.
