The Sixers take a step back this season

The Philadelphia 76ers had a great 2017-18 NBA season. They went from winning just 28 games (in 2016-17) to 52 last season. It was a great, and pretty much unprecedented, jump in terms of overall team improvement.

Perhaps too good, I’m afraid. That’s why I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sixers took a bit of a step-back this season. Perhaps go from winning 50-plus games to perhaps winning mid-40’s. I don’t expect them to fall off that much, because their talent is unquestioned. Although, they are still extremely young and, will for the first time in a long time, could crumble under the pressure.

Many are expecting Philly to do big things this season, and for such a young team I’m a bit concerned. The Sixers are going to be good this year, I just don’t know how good.
