Kansas City

It’s somewhat surprising that a city with franchises in both the NFL and MLB had been overlooked by the NBA up until this point.

The middle of the continental United States have been controlled largely by the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets. Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and Arkansas are all currently devoid of an NBA team. Missouri is smack in the middle of them, as Kansas City is on the border of Kansas and Missouri, and isn’t terribly far from the borders of Nebraska and Iowa either.

Kansas City, given that it has held it’s own with the Royals and Chiefs, is worth a serious look for an NBA expansion franchise.

It could house another one of the league’s most dedicated fanbases, as the Chiefs have one heck of an active fanbase, even before Patrick Mahomes showed up and shocked the NFL.
