Kemba Walker is on a tear

Despite all the whispers surrounding Kemba Walkers future with the Charlotte Hornets, he has gotten off to an amazing start this season.

Through three games, Walker is the NBA’s leading scorer, averaging 35 points and five assists on 49 percent shooting from the field and an absurd 50 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s showcased it all through the first week of the season and even has the Hornets off to a 2-1 start.

And their only loss of the season came at the hands of the Bucks, by one point. Walker is expected to hit free agency after this season, and is going to make a ton of money on the open market if he continues down this trend.

I’m not sure how sustainable this tear is for Walker, but he’s proving that he’s a valuable asset for any team to have. Including the Hornets, who may or may not be willing to pay him the big money he’s going to demand this summer.
