20. Charlotte Hornets (3-4)
Let’s just get this out of the way – Kemba Walker is an absolute killer and he’s playing exactly how you’d expect a player in the final year of his contract to play, and then some. He’s an absolute star and is the reason why the Charlotte Hornets will likely remain in the playoff race out East.
At the same time, there’s a decision that needs to be made for the Hornets. Do they trade him before the trade deadline? Do they keep him and pay him the big money that he’s going to demand on the open market?
It’s really a tough decision for the Hornets to make, especially considering that their roster is mixed between rebuilding and win now. The good news is that they have time before they ultimately have to decide what to do. If they remain in the mist of playoff contention, I believe they’ll ride this season out with Kemba. If not, it then gets interesting.
