3. Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
Stats: 27 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks
Anthony Davis has been pretty unreal to start the season this year, and the New Orleans Pelicans are 4-1 with their only loss coming a night in which Davis sat out as precaution. With LeBron struggling in Los Angeles and over-saturation being a real thing with what’s happening in Golden State, there’s a real argument that AD could be the MVP this year.
Of course, he has to remain healthy for the majority of this season – and for Davis, that’s been a concern recently – and the Pelicans need to finish in the top 3 or 4 of the conference, but it’s possible.
Davis is doing it on both ends of the floor, and is the best big in the NBA right now. There’s really not much to dislike about his game.
