NBA Power Rankings: Celtics hitting their stride; Nuggets, Bucks for real?

5. Denver Nuggets (9-1)

Last week: 7

It might be weird to see the Denver Nuggets this high on a power rankings list, but with the way they’ve played so far this season its been every bit deserved. The Nuggets have a top 10 offense and defense, and they continue to impress.

Denver appears to be one of the real, true dark horses in the Western Conference this year but I’m simply not sure their recent play is sustainable. I can’t help but think that the Nuggets might be playing their best basketball at the wrong time.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but the Nuggets may be playing to their ceiling (for this season) in the first few weeks of the season, and that’s not great. I hope I’m wrong.
