7. Memphis Grizzlies (9-5)

Last week: 10 

Don’t look now, but the Memphis Grizzlies have won four of their last five and seven of their last 10 games overall. Mike Conley and Marc Gasol have looked like their old selves this season, grinding and gritting this team towards wins.

Their offense is ranked 22 in the NBA this season, which is so Grizzlies. On the defensive end, though, they’ve been every bit the Grit N’ Grind team that we’re used to seeing. Memphis is a top 5 defense team and, as expected, is playing at the slowest pace this season.

Memphis is fighting this new age of fast-paced offense all by themselves. It’s going to be interesting to see how much they can hold it off. So far, so good.
