Minnesota Timberwolves
Not getting embarrassed in the Jimmy deal
When the dust settled in the Jimmy Butler fiasco, the Minnesota Timberwolves didn’t completely whiff. Even though the Wolves didn’t get full value for their superstar in the trade market, they did get quality haul.
In the end, the Wolves got Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless and a second-round pick. They acquired three potential rotation players and two real assets in Covington and Saric. It’ going to be interesting to see how this team looks the rest of the season, but this was a net positive for the Wolves.
Minnesota could’ve done a lot worse. They have nothing to be ashamed about after making this deal with the Sixers.
