The Toronto Raptors should be ever thankful for the blockbuster trade that they participated in over the summer. Landing Kawhi Leonard might be the best move of the last 12 months in the entire NBA, save for LeBron James moving to the Lakers.
The Raptors are now squarely the favorites to win the East, and even more so as the Celtics continues to struggle with their offensive identity.
If Toronto actually wins the East this season, the Kawhi trade is going to go down in NBA history as one of the best transactions ever. It’s quite amazing that we’re able to see it all happen in real time.
