Charlotte Hornets: A second star next to Kemba

The Charlotte Hornets what they have in Kemba Walker, even more so this season as he’s having a career year in the final year of his contract. The expectation is that the Hornets will re-sign Walker in the off-season, but this team isn’t really going to make many waves in the East until they get a second star to stick next to Kemba.

If the Hornets can successfully find that second start to place next to Walker, this team could legitimately take the next step as a franchise. But until then, they’re going to continue to be just another team in the East that could sneak into the playoffs.

Right now, that’s all the Hornets are and aren’t much of a threat. No matter how good – or even great – Walker might be.
