Cleveland Cavaliers: Embracing a complete rebuild
After losing LeBron James during the summer, the Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t really pivot towards a complete rebuild. And I believe that was real mistake on part of the team, and it’s forcing them into somewhat of a lost season this year.
Kevin Love was extended during the summer, but if the team doesn’t plan on trading him then I’m not sure I get the signing. He might be a good player, but he’s not a player that can carry a team anymore at this stage in his career.
The team should look to trade him sooner rather than later, probably when he’s healthy again, and do their best in ridding themselves of some of the terrible veteran contracts on their roster at the same time. It won’t be easy, but this team needs to rebuild the right way.
