10. Houston Rockets (30-22)
The good news for the Houston Rockets is that Chris Paul has made his return to the lineup. The bad news is that they’re 1-3 since his return. Perhaps that has to do with getting used to him being back, or maybe they’ve just hit a snag recently.
No matter what it is, it has hurt their momentum up the Western Conference standings. If this team is going to host a first-round playoff series, they’re going to need to make up three games over the second half of the season.
While that may not seem like a massive uphill battle, it is in the Western Conference. Don’t expect Daryl Morey to stand pat at the NBA Trade Deadline. Help is coming.
