Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have come along ways since they were the laughing stock of the NBA due to a “process” they were going with. Well, that process is starting to pay dividends. By acquiring Tobias Harris from the Clippers, the Sixers were letting the rest of the league that they are serious about making a deep drive in the playoffs this season.

When the Sixers traded for Jimmy Butler earlier in the year many people believed that Butler was the missing piece. The Sixers obviously don’t believe that. Tobias Harris is a legit young talent that can provide plenty of scoring for Philadelphia. Harris doesn’t need the ball to be a monster. Harris can play off the ball as a number two or three guy.

Another thought that I had with this trade was that if Jimmy Butler leaves in free agency, the Sixers have his replacement in Harris. For the moment, Philadelphia may have the best starting five in the Eastern Conference.
