9. Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors

Kevin Durant has already established himself as one of the best scorers of his generation. This year, he has continued to be a dominant offensive player while leading the Western Conference best Warriors in more areas than just scoring the basketball.

However, there might be a little fatigue here and he’s playing with four other all-star caliber players every night. This is just not KD’s year to win the award.

8. Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers

The franchise cornerstone of the Portland Trail Blazers and top tier point guard in a league dominated by elite guard play, Damian Lillard finds himself near the top of that mix and performing honor worthy this season.

Lillard has put together another all-star noteworthy NBA campaign while leading the undermentioned Blazers to another top 4 position in the ultra-competitive Western Conference. However, there are certainly more deserving players ahead of him on this list.
