Can LeBron James power the Lakers to the playoffs?

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently three games back of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, and would have to leapfrog two teams (Clippers, Kings) in order to earn a berth in this year’s playoffs. Hurt by the six weeks that LeBron missed due to a hamstring injury, there’s no question that the Lakers will have to shift into turbo in order make a serious push.

The big question, of course, is whether or not LeBron has enough left in the tank – at age 34 – in order to drag the Lakers into the playoffs this season? It certainly won’t be an easy thing to accomplish, but are we really willing to bet against arguably the greatest player to ever dribble a basketball?

Keep an eye on the Lakers over the last two months of the regular season; it should be an exciting finish for Los Angeles. Either way.
