Was the season a failure?

With all that understood, the question is was this season a failure for the Los Angeles Lakers? When we look back at this season, there will be many that will consider year one of LeBron in Los Angeles as a failure.

However, after looking at all the information about the Lakers this season I’m not sure that’s 100 percent fair. Los Angeles was never a team that was ready to compete, with or without LeBron on the roster. And without 82 games of a close to 100 percent LeBron, the likelihood of the Lakers reaching their potential (which was not even that high during the pre-season) was never great.

If at all possible.

The Los Angeles Lakers will likely fall short of the playoffs this season, but that doesn’t mean this year should be looked back as a complete failure for LeBron James. It may not have gone according to plan, but if the Lakers can have a great summer there’s no question that they can rebound in 2019-20.
