Arizona State fell victim to an early exit in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but Luguentz Dort had a great season with the Sun Devils and it will result in him being a late first round pick. And certatinly a prospect that the Nets could take advantage of here at No. 27.

The Nets are entering an offseason in which they could be subject to plenty of moving pieces, and they could see a bit of roster turnover. They have a big decision to make on D’Angelo Russell and will be in the conversation for some of the big free agent names.

Adding a player like Dort late in the first round could give this team the depth it needs in the event that they make a big splash and can’t bring back a player like Russell. Not that Dort would be his replacement, but he could help shoulder the loss.
