Short of the Washington Wizards jumping into the top 3 of the draft, it’s going to be difficult for this team to really make a huge move in stabilizing the franchise. John Wall will likely be out for another season, and Washington has a big decision regarding Bradley Beal this summer.
Nevertheless, assuming neither of those two players isn’t going anywhere anytime soon (though that could change if the right deal presents itself), the smart move might be to take a pro-ready contributor like De’Andre Hunter.
One of the best defenders in the class, Hunter is the prototypical 3-and-D player for today’s game. Hunter averaged 15 points and five rebounds on 44 percent shooting from 3-point range as he helped lead the Cavaliers to a National Championship.
