After winning the NBA Draft Lottery and coming away with Zion Williamson, there is little the Haws could do to top that move. However, snagging Jaxson Hayes at No. 9 would be another huge win for this team as they continue to collect talent.

With Trae Young, John Collins, Zion and now Hayes, the Hawks would have the best young core in the Eastern Conference. Young is coming off a great rookie season, no one told Collins about the sophomore slump and we know Zion is going to be great from the opening tip.

Hayes will be able to contribute on the defensive end from day 1 but his offensive skills will need some time to blossom. That’s OK because the Hawks are set on that end of the floor. Should Atlanta come away with Zion and Hayes, I think we know who the winner of the draft will be.
