NBA: Ending the LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate

Different Eras

First off, it’s impossible to fairly compare these two greats since they played in totally different eras.

Now, some would posit that the very best of the best in NBA history are so great, that their talent and ability can transcend any era…

And when you look at the physical attributes of both Jordan and LeBron as well as their all-around skill set, two-way ability and unmatched work ethic, it’s pretty easy to see that both could thrive in almost any NBA era.

But that still doesn’t clear up this GOAT debate issue. We still have no way of knowing how LeBron’s game would change and evolve in the late 80s/early 90s or how MJ’s style of play would adjust to today’s game with a lot more emphasis on spacing and 3-point shooting.
