Legacies

If you’re looking at legacies and accomplishments, LeBron still has a ways to go in his career. Yeah, he’s about to enter his 17th season but he’s still arguably, the best player in the world and with the way he takes care of himself, he’s showing no signs of going anywhere any time soon!

He almost certainly won’t catch Jordan in rings, MVPs or all-defensive teams. But he will finish with more points, rebounds, assists, steals (probably) and blocks. Not to mention he shoots better from the field and better from 3, though Michael does win the free throw battle by a considerable margin.

However – as I mentioned earlier – the 3-point shot wasn’t utilised nearly as much in Jordan’s era so we have no way of knowing how that part of his game would have developed if he played in today’s league.

When it comes to durability and longevity, LeBron wins by a country mile with little-to-no resistance. Now, this isn’t a knock against Jordan nearly as much as it is a testament to LeBron and the way he takes care of himself as he’s one of the best-conditioned athletes that we have ever seen. He has already surpassed Jordan in seasons played (16-14) and that gap will have grown even larger by the time James finally retires.
