In the event that Kevin Durant wants to re-sign with the Warriors, but wants to ink a long term deal, what does Golden State elect to do? They already have to pay Klay Thompson this summer too, and inking both would dig this team deep into the tax.

Question is, would it be smart for the team to do so for a player that will miss all of next season with no guarantee that he’ll come back at 100 percent of the player that he was before the injury. It’s not an easy thing to answer.
