After falling short on the Anthony Davis trade front, the New York Knicks are forced to pick at No. 3. Which isn’t exactly as bad as it sounds. Nevertheless, having AD in your back pocket in a potential free agency meeting with Kevin Durant or Kawhi Leonard would’ve been a great weapon.

Adding RJ Barrett might be too. Barrett, who was the top prospect coming out of high school last year, will be heading to New York with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. After an up-and-down freshman season at Duke, the hype surrounding Barrett has certainly died down a bit as he makes the jump to the NBA.

Barrett is a do-it-all wing that needs to improve his shot selection and overall offensive efficiency. If he can do that, there’s no question that he could blossom into an all-star level player in the NBA. However, that’s a big if.
