The Hawks are now the best young team in the Eastern Conference

Many questioned the Atlanta Hawks when they traded the option of drafting Luka Doncic in last year’s NBA Draft for a shot at Trae Young. However, one year late you can make the argument that the Hawks now have the best young core, at the very least, in the Eastern Conference.

With Young, John Collins, Kevin Huerter and now De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish. At the very least, the Hawks will be one of the most interesting watches in the NBA next season. At the most, they could be competitive enough to lock up one of the eight playoff spots.

If Young can take another step this season, there’s no question that the Hawks will be competitive in the East. If the front office can continue to push the right buttons, Atlanta is going to be really good sooner rather than later.
