Philadelphia 76ers

Key additions: Al Horford, Josh Richardson

Key subtractions: Jimmy Butler, JJ Redick

The Philadelphia 76ers rebounded nicely once it was a given that they would be losing Jimmy Butler to the Heat. In addition to adding Josh Richardson, a nice young wing that will fit in nicely with the team’s core, the Sixers also managed to land Al Horford.

The Sixers now have arguably the best defensive starting 5 in the NBA. They will be, along with the Bucks, sitting atop the East this season, barring injury. Assuming Ben Simmons makes some progress with the jump shot this season, this could be Philly’s year.

There’s a reason for excitement in Philly this season. Looking at the roster, it’s easy to see why.
