Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors
Kyle Lowry is in the final year of his contract with the Toronto Raptors, and will likely be entering what will end up begin the final season with the club. So why waste a year of his career in a place where he probably won’t re-sign?
You could play up the whole loyalty thing, but we all know that really doesn’t exist in today’s NBA. It’s probably in the best interest of Lowry to demand a trade – sooner rather than later – and it would be great for Toronto to get an asset for Lowry.
It’d be interesting to see what the trade market for Lowry would be, considering that he’s coming off a championship season. Lowry is still a starting point guard in today’s game, just can’t be your best or second-best player if you want to be a good-to-great team.
