NBA: Ranking the top 10 teams heading into the 2019-20 season
6. Golden State Warriors
It very well could be that the glory days of the seemingly unbeatable Golden State Warriors are well behind them. Losing Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala while dealing with Klay Thompson‘s injury are three blows the W’s are going to have a tough time dealing with this season.
Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are going to have to carry the load while Thompson heals – he could be back by midseason, but significant knee injuries are always difficult to predict. The good news is that Curry and Green won’t have to do it alone.
D’Angelo Russell and Willie Cauley-Stein have joined them at the bay, both being talented young players who could really take a big step in their play when working around such stars like Curry and Green. They won’t be the same Warriors we all once knew but they’ll for sure remain to be a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference.
The Warriors are on a mission to let everyone in the NBA know they aren’t done yet, and I personally can’t wait to see how it goes for them.
