Los Angeles Clippers
How much time will Paul George miss?
The Los Angeles Clippers came away as the big winners from the 2019 NBA offseason and while they may be seen, by some, as the favorite to win the 2019 NBA Championship there are still questions surrounding this team heading into the 2019-20 season. And perhaps the biggest is whether or not Paul George will be healthy to start the season.
From what we know by what has been reported, George, who underwent shoulder surgery during the offseason, is expected to miss at least the start of the regular season. Per a recent report from The Ringer, George could miss the first six weeks of the season. Again, this was not from the team so I’m not sure how much stock we should put into it, but nevertheless, it isn’t great news.
The good news is that Kawhi Leonard and the deep roster should be enough for the Clippers to stay afloat until George returns, but you have to wonder how long it will take for him to really get back in the swing of things, even when he returns.
Many are expecting the Clippers to be big players in the Western Conference this season, but they need to be healthy. This team won’t be able to accomplish much without a healthy Paul George on the active roster.
