Has Andrew Wiggins reached his ceiling?

Just a couple of seasons ago, there was a buzz surrounding the Minnesota Timberwolves. They had just acquired Jimmy Butler, and there was hope surrounding Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins – the team’s young core. However, a Butler injury that cost the team a top 4 playoff seed and a trade request just a few months later, and now the Wolves are left with more questions than answers.

While the team knows they have a budding star in KAT, there are still many questions surrounding Andrew Wiggins and his ability to take the next step as something more than just a talented offensive player. The future of the team now falls in the hands of the young duo, and the two players aren’t exactly carrying their own weight at the moment.

The Wolves need Wiggins to mature and take the next step as a player. If Minnesota is going to make any noise in the Western Conference, it will be because of their young duo. Right now, there’s no indication that Wiggins is going to answer the call but for the sake of the franchise, they need a huge step forward from their young wing player.
