Marquee summer move: Signing Ricky Rubio
We can argue all day whether you view Devin Booker as an elite talent in the NBA, but one thing’s for sure regarding the Phoenix Suns – the front office doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing whatsoever.
Even though the Suns did sign a starting-caliber point guard this summer, they signed the wrong one. Ricky Rubio is a really good player, but he’s simply the exact player that the NBA is slowly moving away from. He doesn’t have a consistent jump shot and does little more on the offensive end than just facilitate.
The hope is that Deandre Ayton builds off his solid rookie season and that Booker takes another step on his road to superstardom. However, something feels off with this entire organization.
